Meet Dorothy – a sweet girl with a big personality who's ready to steal your heart.

Dorothy was recently surrendered by a breeder simply because she aged out of their adoption pool. But we told her that age doesn’t define worth—and her best days are still ahead!

We were told Dorothy is a Mini Schnauzer, but… well, unless she’s been sneaking a few too many treats over the years, we think she’s more of a Schnauzer something—what that “something” is, we may never know, but it only adds to her quirky charm!

At this stage in life, Dorothy is eager for some consistent structure and training. Having never had formal guidance before, she’s still learning the ropes. She can be a bit barky and tends to nibble when excited, but her foster is helping her through those habits and she’s already making great progress.

Dorothy is currently doing well with most dogs, though her herding instincts sometimes kick into high gear—so she does best with gentle redirection. She loves children and is doing great with crate training. She hasn’t met a cat yet, so we’re unsure how she’d do.

Because she’s vocal and still finding her confidence, Dorothy isn’t a fit for shared-wall living—she needs a home where barking won’t be an issue and she has space to settle in.

Dorothy is bursting with potential and ready to find the home that will give her the patience, love, and structure she needs to thrive.
