River is a beautiful cream and brown tabby girl, with a perfect little beauty mark. She is a little over a year old, and has been in foster care most of her life. She was adopted from Wags when she was just a baby and was brought back to us after she started to have swelling in her gums. She needed surgery and Wags was able to provide that for her to help her become the happy, pain free cat she is today. She has three teeth left, one fell out and the rest were pulled. Following surgery River was on an exclusively wet diet, but she would often steal her foster cat's dry food so it's been found she does just fine with both. River is a timid girl that takes some time to warm up. We have had her in our home since her surgery and she has really started to blossom. She comes up and snuggles in bed, or when we are watching T.V. but there's also times where she really just wants to be on her own. She isn't mean about it, she just will spend some time in the cat room alone, without her humans. River is very quirky, and it's absolutely adorable. For instance, she prefers to drink out of the sink. If you are brushing your teeth and she's thirsty, be prepared to share the running water with her. She also likes to high five, or "bat" with her humans, this makes kicker cat toys her number one choice when playing. River gets along with dogs, and cats. We also have a two year old and an eight year old in the home, and she gets along perfectly with both. Sometimes our two year old isn't the gentlest and though we are working on it, River has been a great sport about letting her play with her even though she has been known to tug a tail or two. We love River in our home, but we would love nothing more than for her to find her own forever home. She deserves an amazing family, and we know someone out there is deserving of her as well.
