Captain is such a sweet dog that loves all people and dogs.  He is a one-eyed hound mix who's vetting paperwork lists as two years old.

 

From foster mom: The night I brought him home was a very stormy night with thunder that shook the house.  My dogs were restless and he slept through the night.  When I came home from work the next day, he was sleeping on his bed in a back room; my dogs were barking excited for my arrival and I had to tap Captain to wake him.  I started to wonder if his hearing was gone.  I would stand behind him and say his name or make a sound without even a turn of a head.  We have been working with hand gestures to know sit and drop.  His disabilities do not stop him or slow him down at all.  He would do great with another dog in his household to show him the ropes and guide him.  He follows my dogs around all day.  Again he has been such a pleasure at our home and needs a very patient family to give him lots of love.
