The people who found me along the side of the road named me Sparrow.  I was in pretty bad shape as you can see by my intake photo. I was covered in fleas and my temperature had dropped to 92 degrees.  At the clinic I was taken to, they didn't give me much of a chance of living, but still didn't give up on me.  I had a feeding tube in my nose for a week and it was another week before I was strong enough to stand up and walk a little.  When my foster mom got me, I didn't have much fur and I was covered in itchy sores from the fleas biting me.  After lots of medicated baths and good food, I am feeling like a real dog again! My fur is growing in nicely and I have no problem eating or going for walks.

I am more of a couch potato than a playful dog. I love hanging out with my people and napping. I'm very quiet and don't bark unless I know it is time to eat.  Now that I have fur, it is beautiful white and curly and doesn't shed. I appear to be a Maltese/Poodle mix.  The vet's guess me to be about 5 years old and I weigh in at 10 lbs.  My foster mom takes me to the office where lots of people come and go and so far, I have liked everyone I meet, big or small.  I get along great with all kinds of animals, too.  My ideal home would be quieter, but I am very patient and tolerant so wouldn't mind some nice kids as long as they don't expect me to play too much.

My potty training is coming along, but not perfect because I was homeless for a long time. If you take me out enough, I do my business right away.  Life was super rough for me before so I'm hoping the next chapter brings me a warm safe forever home with lots of love.
