Woody was found at Wood Lake Nature Center and taken in by his current foster family. He first seemed like a lost house cat--very friendly.  Quickly it was determined he was a young street cat. Woody has an amazingly soft coat. He loves affection--head, chin, neck, and back
scratches--and purrs loudly in gracious response. He enjoys chasing balls and teaser strings. Woody is a good user of the litter box and regulates his eating well. He was defensive and tough his first few days with his foster family. Over the course of a year he has transformed into a domesticated cat. However, Woody's new family should be ready to learn his body language and have patience with him; he still occasionally shows some subtle feral behavior. Play and
affection need to be on his terms. For this reason we recommend he go to a home without small children or other animals.  We believe his birthday to be January 2016.  If you have room in your heart for this boy, please fill out an application so you can meet.
