Hi, my name is Mandy.  Thank you for your interest and checking out my profile.  I am listed as  Catahoula  mix, which really is a guess because my foster mom says I’m a mystery.  I weigh approximately 30 pounds and I was born on 3/21/16.  I don’t really think I am going to get too much bigger.  I am still a puppy and have typical puppy energy.  I pretty much love every toy but I really love chewing on my  nylabone .  Also, mom puts some pretty great treats in this thing call a “kong.”  It is SO delicious and I get very excited for that treat.  I was introduced to the kiddie pool.  I love to splash around and hang out in the sun.  I know, not much sun now but I can’t wait for summer to enjoy the pool again. I experienced my first snow, and let me tell you, I LOVE THE SNOW.  Eating it is the best.  I love playing with my foster brothers and sister.  We play tug and just chase each other around.  That is the part I like the best.  I’m much smaller than them, so I can run right underneath them!  

I am very food motivated and would benefit from someone that wants to take me to training.  I am currently working on my manners.  I'm working on not jumping up so much and not chewing on things I'm not supposed to.  You can easily replace what I am not supposed to chew on with a treat or a toy and I am happy to trade!  I’m not perfect but we are working on it!  I am still a puppy you know.  Mom also says I’m a little mouthy, we're working on that too so maybe kids a little older might be best.  Even though I have puppy energy, I would love someone to cuddle on the couch with.  I love when my humans pet me and rub my belly and I am such a good  snuggler .  I can also be bit skittish, but every day I become more brave.  Loud noises make me run and hide because it’s scary.  I am also a little shy when you first meet me.  Don’t worry, I warm up quickly.  I love my humans and want attention from them.  Potty training is something I am working on as well.  I will always go potty outside if you take me out there but I don’t tell you I need to go, yet.  Treats help me learn and stay on track.  My foster mom is also trying to bell train me so I can tell her when I need to go potty.

From her foster mom:  Mandy is such a sweetheart and a playful pup.  She currently lives with my 3 (much larger) dogs and gets along great.  She is crate and almost potty trained.  She doesn’t have any “tells” yet to tell us she has to potty.  We just take her out frequently when we are home.  We work during the day and she is crated when we are gone and has no problems and no accidents.  As I mentioned, she does have a lot of energy and likes to play and run around.  I love this quirky little girl and she deserves her forever family!  Is that you?
