“With love and patience anything is possible.” Hello, my name is Queenie and that is what my foster mom keeps telling me every morning. I came into rescue a few weeks ago as my human family had to surrender me because they had too many dogs. My foster mom keeps telling me what great progress I am making. I am coming out of my shell and have so much love to provide. I am what they call a gentle giant. What I would like my new family to know is I like being around people. Keep in mind I am a big girl so please make sure you have the space and understanding of this need. I like to lay by your feet, keep you company and really just be by you wherever you are. Unfortunately I do not like the kennel and well, let’s just say they are no match for a big girl like me. So a family must understand and have the ability to give me free roam of the house. Oh and food, yea I really like food! I take it very gently and was a little skinny so my mom is working on getting some meat on my bones. I have human sisters and I do great with them and also get along great with all the foster dogs. I am also housetrained. My mom takes me on walks all of the time to build my confidence but make sure you understand I don’t walk very fast!

From her foster mom: Queenie is a wonderful dog that, as you can imagine, had her life change in an instant. She will need the right family to work on her transition and confidence. Queenie can jump when anxious so a 6 foot fence is probably best although we will consider a home that has the right environment that will be able to have the patience with her.
