Learn more about the Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie.
Hi folks - my name is Theo. The vet thinks I am about 10 years old, and some sort of Yorkie mix? Some people think I may be a purebred Yorkie, but I don't have any papers to prove it. Foster mom tells me that's not important. What is important is that I am a super sweet, shy boy. It took me a couple of days to warm up to my foster mom, but now I really enjoy being next to her, and I love leaning in for pets. Sometimes when she reaches towards me, I stick out my tongue at her and raise a paw like I want to shake hands. I like to follow the other doggies in my foster home around and they're helping me feel more comfortable now that I'm out of the shelter. I hope my new family will allow me time to warm up and learn to love and trust them. I have a harder time learning to trust men. I warm up to women much more quickly. Treats help me warm up to people. I just had a bunch of teeth removed, but that doesn't slow me down. I love to eat my dinner and get treats! Foster mom has me spend my days in the crate while she's at work. That's not my favorite, and I try to put up a fuss, but I quiet down after a couple of minutes. I can also be in the kennel at night, but I would really prefer to snuggle up by your feet or in a doggie bed next to your bed. I had a few accidents in my foster home when I first arrived, but I'm learning the schedule we're on. When I'm kenneled when foster mom isn't home, we have hardly any accidents at all. The only time I bark is when I'm first placed in my kennel. Besides that, I'm a super quiet dog. You would hardly even know I'm around, except that I will always be following you around. If you have a nice, quiet home, and you're looking for a nice, quiet dog to share it with, fill out an application to meet me today.
