Hi my name is Snoop.  I am a male chow mix, born in June, 2009 and weigh 60 pounds.  I am a native to Minnesota and love to explore the Minnesota country side.  I am shy so I will need time to acclimate to a new environment and people, which doesn’t take long.  A quieter, low-key home would allow me the opportunity to get used to new things at my own pace. My foster mom is teaching me the basic commands, like: stay, lay down, and heel.  Since I am an older dog, I am already potty trained.  I don't enjoy time in the kennel, but my foster mom leaves me out when she's gone and I am very well behaved.  I am a non-destructive chewer and only play with doggie toys,   I do not jump on people and I do enjoy looking out the window from time to time. I suppose you can say I am a well-mannered, large dog, wise in my doggie years and very calm. I am good with dogs of all sizes but I do prefer older dogs or less active ones.  Remember, I'm a senior and those young, crazy ones can be a bit too much for me.  Do you have pesky squirrels in your yard? No problem, I’ll chase them up the tree and out of the yard for you. Sometimes I think cats are like squirrels and like to chase them, so I shouldn't live with cats.  I do pull a little when on walks, so my foster mom is teaching me leash manners. I'm just so excited to see what my new neighborhood has to offer.

I jump on the bed where I love to sleep with you or even the couch where we can snuggle while we watch Animal Planet.  I am knee height, and have a low energy level.  I do great on car rides;  I tend to look out the back window at the car behind us just to say “Hi”.  Eventually, I settle down and wait for the car to stop at our destination.   Overall, I am perfect companion for someone who wants a senior dog.  Are you my fur ever home?
